Your information stays between us.

You may be telling us about the worst financial experience of your life. Here is exactly what happens to what you share — written to be read, not to cover ourselves.

The short version

  • There is no data-collecting form on the site. You reach us by email (it goes straight to our mailbox) or by booking a consultation; nothing is stored in a website database.
  • No marketing lists, no resale of data, no advertising trackers. Our analytics are cookieless.
  • Consultations and email run on Microsoft 365; payments, when offered, are processed by Stripe — your card details never touch this site.
  • You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it (your ARCO rights).

Who is responsible for your data

Jorge Enrique Sánchez Flores, the attorney practicing under the name Riviera Maya Law, is the data controller (responsable) under Mexico's Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares (LFPDPPP). He practices from Mexico City, remote-first and by appointment, and designates email at [email protected] as the channel for service of notices and for exercising the rights described below.

What we collect, and why

Only what you choose to send: your name, contact details, where the property is, and your description of what happened. We use it for exactly one purpose: assessing your situation and replying to you. Legal matters that proceed are governed by a written engagement letter, which has its own confidentiality terms.

The services that process data for us

  • Cloudflare — serves and protects this site, and provides cookieless, privacy-first visitor analytics (page views and referrers only — no cookies, no personal data).
  • Cal.com — when you book a consultation: handles scheduling and collects your name, email, and the details you enter to confirm the appointment. The booking also records, in general terms, how you reached us (for example a search engine, or a page on this site), so we can see what helps people find us — no cookies are used for this.
  • Microsoft 365 — our email, our calendar (your consultation is added to it), and the video call itself, which runs on Microsoft Teams.
  • Stripe — payment processing for the consultation fee. Card data goes to Stripe directly, never to us or this site.

Each processes data only to provide its service to us. We do not sell or share your information for marketing.

Your rights (ARCO)

Under the LFPDPPP you may request Access, Rectification, Cancellation, or Opposition regarding your personal data. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within the statutory period.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Significant changes will be noted plainly, not buried.
